The world’s largest desert, the Sahara, starts in Morocco. It’s a long journey through the mountains to this unique region where an intimate and unforgettable experience awaits. Witness ever changing dunes, feel the arid and hot landscape and hear the almost deafening stillness. Many visitors return again and again to the desert’s silent call.
Our journeys in the Moroccan Sahara always include visits to Kasbahs and Ksars – fortified houses and villages – which sit atop high points commanding wonderful views of perhaps the Draa Valley or Valley of 1000 Kasbahs, or peaks of the Jebel Sahro or Atlas Mountains.
We offer a choice of 4 or 5 star accommodation around the region, for before and after your desert experience, in lush palm groves and simple oasis villages. A refreshing dip in the pool, a hearty dinner and a comfortable bed are just what’s needed after a long and hot day of desert exploration.
Staying overnight in a desert camp is a highly recommended adventure, to fully experience this landscape by day and by night. The changing colours around sunrise and sunset are not to be missed. Soak up the atmosphere around the camp fire, sing Berber songs and watch the stars in the clearest of night skies.
