Generally less visited than the south of the country there is much to discover in Morocco’s north, away from crowds. Gibraltar sits just across the straits, a convenient starting point to exploring the North, with a fast ferry link to Tangier and several daily flights from the UK.
The northern tip of Morocco is the gateway from Europe to Africa, guarded by exotic Tangier. Travel along the Atlantic Coast to cosmopolitan Casablanca via fortified Asilah and capital city of Rabat. Tour the Imperial Cities of Fez, Meknes and Rabat, forming the fabled Golden Triangle, each brimming with history and ancient discoveries.
Further north, pretty Chefchaouen gives a glimpse of simple, traditional Rif Mountain life. Drive along winding mountain roads with fabulous scenery around you and enjoy this area seemingly unchanged by the modern world.
We offer a selection of luxurious authentic hotels and cosy riads in the major cities of the north, as well as unique mountain retreats, to allow you to get the most out of this northern region. For a real insight into the region consider our private tour itineraries – ‘Gibraltar to Marrakech’ or ‘Along the Atlantic Coast’.
